Hi! I am a Principal Machine Learning engineer at AstraZeneca.

I currently live in London, United Kingdom, and am active in many areas of basic machine learning, including representation learning, self-supervised learning and dimensionality-reduction. During my studies, I was fortunate to recieve two first-class degrees at the University of London.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Leon worked on modelling acoustic signals at HyperSurfaces, and artistic applications of AI at Goldsmiths, University of London, amongst other things visualizing interactively datasets with millions of data points, audio and image generation using AI.

I helped the winning team and jointly won the IBM international creative AI award, and some of my work has been published by journals and used by startups around the world. I enjoy democratizing AI to empower domain experts to leverage the latest AI research to improve their work flows. Work I have contributed to has been displayed at the Barbican and other shows, and the AI tools I have collaborated o have been used with various artists including Massive Attack, Slugabed and Just Jam.

When I am not working on modelling pharmaceutical data for AstraZeneca, Leon is a season-ticket holder for Arsenal F.C and enjoys going for long walks.
